Learn to Dive
Scuba diving is a wonderful hobby and with the completion of the Open Water Diver course you will have all of the basic skills to be a diver. There is so much to see and learn and we look forward to sharing our fun and our passion for diving with all who would like to join us. Learning to dive with DiveMex is not a race, but a fun learning experience. For us it is very important to practice diving well and independently. Whether you are doing the PADI Open Water Diver or PADI Rescue Diver course with us, we will accommodate your learning needs. We take time for you and help you to achieve optimum results and gain many experiences in the process.
PADI Diving Courses
Discover Scuba Diver Program
The Discover Scuba Diving program is not a diving course with certification. Rather, it is a trial program for those who want to learn more about diving than a hotel pool tutorial can offer. The program is divided into two blocks. The first block consists of important theoretical basics of diving and a range of practical skills that we practice in the pool. The second block consists of diving a shallow reef to 12m; this consists of two dives in the open sea with amazing corals and plenty of fish. With completion of the course, it is possible during to continue to dive with us to a maximum depth of 12m or or to take the next step in training to become a Scuba Diver or Open Water Diver.
The PADI Scuba Diver course is the first Dive Course with a certificate. The course takes 2 days and consists of 3 units Theory, 3 units in the pool and 2 open water dives with exercises. The theory can be completed do at home, prepared in advance, so that we can focus on the practical elements while we are in the pool and then during the open water dives. Following to the course you will receive your official dive card, which entitles you to dive with an instructor to 12m. With another day more you can also become a PADI Open Water Diver.
Open Water Diver
The PADI Open Water Diver course is the first dive course with certificate for independent divers. The course lasts for three days and consists of 5 units of theory, 5 units in the pool, four open water dives with exercises and a final examination. The theory can be completed at home and prepared in advance, so that we can focus on the practical parts while we are in the pool and during the open water dives. Following the course you will receive an official dive card, which certifies you to dive with another certified diver to 18m. Many divers feel very good completing this course and certainly some divers want to learn even more. In that case there is the possibility to do an Advanced Open Water Course.
Referral Open Water Diver
The Referral Open Water Diver course only includes the dives of the Open Water Diver course. This option is for students who have done the theory and the pool sessions at home and only want to focus on diving during their vacation. The Referral Open Water Diver takes 1 ½ days and consists of discussion of open water exercises and 4 open water dives. Following to the course you will receive an official dive card which certifies you to dive with another certified diver to 18m.
elearning Open Water Diver
The eLearning Open Water Diver course is the practical part of the Open Water Diver course. We will start on the first day with a equipment workshop and the pool session. On the sencond and third day we focus on the open water dives 1-4. All the academic part is done online on the PADI.com website. Before you can start your practical part you must have finished your online eLearning with PADI.
Advanced Open Water Diver
The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is not just a dive course for advanced divers, but specifically designed as a follow-up training course from the PADI Open Water Diver course. Advanced knowledge and skills are taught to the diver in a controlled environment. The course consists of 5 adventure dives (theory and practice dive) without audit. After completing these, you’ll be Advanced Open Water Diver certified and are eligible to dive with another certified diver to 30m. For our diving guests we offer a FREE Advanced Open Water Diver course.
The Scuba Review program was designed for not so experienced divers who have not dived in a long time. The program lasts one day and consists of a refresh of dive theory, pool exercises and 2 open water dives. The goal is to retrieve past lessons, bringing them back to the surface and to strengthen the self-esteem of the diver.
In diving, there are a number of special circumstances that make up a dive. In order to better deal with these circumstances, we offer various diving specialties:Cavern Diver (4 days, 4 dives); Deep Diver (4 days, 4 dives); Drift Diver (1 day, 2 dives); Nitrox Diver (1 day, 2 dives); Night Diver (2 days, 3 dives); Peak Performance Buoyancy (1 day, 2 dives); Sidemount Diver (2 days, 3 dives); Wreck Diver (4 days, 4 dives). All of these Specialties we can be individually integrated into your holiday dive plan. The prices for the different courses vary.
Emergency First Response
The EFR course is the basis for the PADI Rescue Diver course. This course takes 1 day and consists of primary and secondary care. In addition to immediate life-saving measures of CPR and mouth-to-mouth resuscitation (laymen level) you will learn skills such as the use of an AED (Automated External Defibrillator), the prevention and treatment of shock states, dealing with injuries to the spine and the use of barriers to prevent the risk of transmission and to reduce disease. The EFR course, though containing serious information, is a refresher course that is often a lot of fun for participatns.
The PADI Rescue Diver course is the first diving course in which you are not the focus, this is about the other divers around you. In this course, like the EFR course, you should bring a set of scuba skills. You should be able to dive in a relaxed way and you need to maintain your buoyancy at all times throughout the dive. The PADI Rescue Diver course takes 3 days and consists of 4 sections. Theory, pool exercises, open water exercises and open water simulation. The theory can be completed at home and prepared in advance, so that we can focus on the practical parts during pool sessions, such as open water exercises and simulation. Following the course you will receive an official dive card that identifies you as a Rescue Diver
The PADI Divemaster course is the first diving course for a professional classification as a diver. Prerequisites for the course are 40 proven dives, an EFR course not older than 24 months, Advanced Open Water Diver and Rescue Diver and a doctor’s approval not older than 12 months. At the end of the course the student diver will have proven at least 60 dives with experience in night diving, deep diving and underwater navigation. Certification is carried out after completion of all requirements and auditing.
