The Riviera Maya

The Riviera Maya is the name of the Caribbean coast of the Mexican state of Quintana Roo starting from Puerto Morelos until Tulum.
Playa del Carmen, Puerto Aventuras and Akumal are the most known towns along the Riviera Maya and are the areas you will find high end resorts and timeshares for your lodging needs when on vacation here.
What makes the Riviera Maya so special is the coral reef right in front it. This reef is the second largest barrier reef in the world, the mesoamerican reef. It starts in front of Cancun and runs all the way down to Belize. Especially in the main towns like Playa del Carmen, Puerto Morelos, Puerto Aventuras Akumal and Tulum the local reefs are well known. Very interesting are theparts of the reef that are in between these towns and usually to far away for the regular dive operation.

Diving along the Riviera Maya (full day 3 tank dive excursion)

A different dive excursion. The idea behind is to have a relaxing day with 3 dives along the coast of the Riviera Maya. This trip will only start with good weather conditions and maximum 5 diversper group.
First we will go for one of the famous reefs like Punta Venado, Tortugas or Los Arcos. The second dive will be very exciting. We plan an exploration dive at a promising spot somewhere outside of Playa del Carmen. After the lunch break we will go for the third dive. That might be Baracuda, Jardines or any other dive spot in front of Playa del Carmen.
This will be a relaxing day with lots of diving fun.
